Policy and certification
We have always demanded a great deal from ourselves. That is why we are still here after more than a century!
Other people have requirements too: our customers, employees and neighbours, not to mention the authorities. That has always been the case, but in recent years their requirements have become more visible:
Customers and potential customers require us to demonstrate by means of certificates that we are able to comply with the requirements and standards that apply in general and within the industry in particular (this includes the automotive industry, which is our biggest customer).
Our employees ought to enjoy coming to work and at the very least they should not be exposed to risks and nuisances. Certification has given us a better understanding of where further improvement was possible. We are also in touch with our employees’ working conditions through our works council and safety representatives.
We now have close neighbours. When we moved the factory out of the town centre in 1964 there were no other buildings in the vicinity. That has changed, because we enjoy a beautiful location high above the Storå river, which meanders through the fields on its way to the North Sea. We are in constant contact and hold an annual meeting with the nearest homeowners’ association.
The authorities keep an eye on us. We are big and visible, which gives us a special responsibility. We do enjoy a good relationship with the local authority, the county council and central government.
