Quality policy (under revision)
BIRN manufactures, machines and coats castings for many of Europe’s leading companies.
It is BIRN’s objective to stand out as a skilled and quality-conscious supplier who delivers quality products that satisfy it’s customers’ expectations. This means complying with requirements with regard to material properties, dimension tolerances, appearance and reliability of supply.
Ongoing improvements in quality have to be strived for, and this objective has to be an important element in all decisions.
We have to satisfy the following points if we are to achieve our goals:
1.
We must invest continuously in state-of-the-art, high-specification machinery and the best possible inspection equipment for the job.
2.
The workforce must be well trained and motivated.
3.
Cooperation with suppliers must be close and confidential in order to ensure ongoing improvement in the quality of the goods supplied.
4.
Statistical process control must be used as an active management tool where appropriate and where technically and financially possible.
5.
New orders must be assessed thoroughly to ensure that they are suitable for our production equipment and that we have the necessary capability.
6.
Management must ensure that goals and action plans are formulated, publicised and complied with.
7.
There must be continuous follow-up on delivery performance.
8.
Our quality management system must be improved continuously and at the very least satisfy the requirements of TS 16949.
