Subcon 2009 was held at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, England over 3 days (June 9 to June 11) and hosted over 260 exhibitors.
Approximately 70 of these companies were in the “Metal Forming Sector” with representatives from India, Pakistan, China, Taiwan, Czech, Spain, Slovenia and France.
Denmark had five companies exhibiting - these being Dansk Sintermetal, Temponik, Ertechstal, AH Industries and ourselves.
Footfall can only be described as modest for all days of the exhibition and speaking with other exhibitors reports were that this year seemed a lot quieter than previous times.
The responsible presenter for the exibition were Account Manager, Tony Rapley and he says: "The stand enjoyed busy and quiet periods with lines of enquiry to follow up covering a range of industries. Also of interest were discussions with a design consultant who had been approached by a client to find a foundry to twin up with on the development of a pump “type” component."
Foundry representatives which approached Vald. Birn's stand included The Compenenta Group, Grede, Chamberlin Hill and Trakya Dokum.
Also this year, Birn will participate in the SubCon fair in Birnmingham. This year, it will take place June 8.-10.
